FAQ
How do I install it?
Lift the tank lid, press the cleaner against the inside wall of the tank, put the lid back. No tools, no screws. It takes about 10 seconds.
Will it fit my toilet?
It's made for toilets with a separate tank behind the bowl (standard gravity-flush toilets — what most Canadian homes have). It isn't designed for tankless, in-wall or pressure-assisted toilets. Not sure? Send a photo of your open tank to support@tidecroft.com and we'll tell you before you order.
How does it work?
It sits in the tank water and releases cleaning liquid as the tank empties. Every flush carries some of that liquid into the bowl, so the bowl gets regular help between cleanings.
Does it replace cleaning my toilet?
No product honestly does. Tidecroft does the routine work between cleans, so your proper cleaning days come around less often and take less effort. We'd rather tell you that now than have you find out later.
Is it the same as the blue tablets?
No. Tablets are a loose solid block that slowly breaks apart in the tank. Tidecroft is a dispenser that stays put against the tank wall and releases liquid as the tank empties.
How long does one cleaner last?
It depends on how often the toilet is flushed — a busy family bathroom uses it up faster than a guest powder room. When the liquid runs out, swap in a new one.
How long does shipping to Canada take?
Most orders arrive within 7–9 business days of ordering. You'll get a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. Shipping is free to every province and territory.
Will I pay duties or taxes at the door?
Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. We can't promise every shipment will be free of import duties — that's decided at the border — but if you're ever asked to pay anything on delivery, contact us before paying and we'll help.
Is it OK for septic systems?
We haven't had it independently tested with septic systems, so we won't claim it's septic-safe. If you're on a septic system, please check with your septic service before using any in-tank cleaner.
I have hard water. Will it help?
Honestly, we can't promise it removes existing hard-water rings or mineral stains — those usually need a dedicated descaler first. What Tidecroft does is give the bowl help with every flush after it's clean. If hard water is your main problem, start with a descaling clean, then add Tidecroft.
Is it safe around kids and pets?
Like any cleaning product, keep it out of reach of children and pets and don't let pets drink from the toilet. Once it's inside the tank with the lid on, it's out of the way.
What if I don't like it?
You have 30 days from delivery to ask for a refund. Email support@tidecroft.com with your order number and we'll take it from there. See our Refund Policy for the details.
